Fall Greenback Hunting
Each fall walleye migrate down
from the sprawling waters of the 12th biggest freshwater lake in the
world -- Lake Winnipeg, to inhabit the Red River and Winnipeg River.
These fish are truly unique in that they are an iridescent opal
green that shimmers in the light like no other walleye in North
America. Besides their special coloration these walleye are of
trophy proportions. To turn a head on either the Red River or the
Winnipeg River with a large walleye you have to be hoisting a
walleye of more than ten pounds. Walleye in the fifteen pound range
are caught every year. The greenback run begins about the middle of
September and continues on into November. We can accommodate small
or large groups 7 days a week. We have a number of guides who are
"true students" of the fall greenback run. Let us know what you've got in mind
and we'll do our best to accommodate. And for those who want to pull
one of these beauties through the ice, we offer ice fishing packages
for small or large groups.
Walleye
Wonders
Haven’t caught a double digit 'eye. The
Red and Winnipeg Rivers in the Fall offer a great shot at that monster
walleye. Our experienced Red River walleye guides and Winnipeg River

Also worth considering (in terms of season - Spring) are some of the
rivers running into lake Manitoba. There's also the English river
system in NW Ontario during the summer ...Yup... big walleye aren't
only caught in the "Fall" up here in Manitoba/NW Ontario. You've got
some options too. Come up with your own boat and receive some
orientation as to where to fish or we'll supply what you need to get
the job done. With
our services and experienced walleye fishing guides you can cut down
search time to concentrate on catching more trophies "when" it's
convenient for you!Cat Eye Outfitter is your Canadian walleye fishing

and personal strength are key requirements for this adventure. Fly or
tackle...no matter, it all works here! Special arrangements are
required for this adventure... consider booking well in advance. Now
available are numerous opportunities in the Lynn Lake area south and
northwest. Got a fishing idea for the area? Give us a call
(1-888-228-3933)and we'll see what we can do for you.
Adventure
Specialist.
This is a “tour de force” for those who
want to do something different.
Perhaps the only requirement are anglers who
are willing to go out and do whatever it takes. The benefit will be to see fishing from
a "Canadian fishing fanatic's" point of view. Not
an expensive trip, but one that will challenge or "tap you out" you in
other ways. Give our professional Manitoba guides an opportunity to
show you fishing you've only dreamed about
Your
Adventure.
This has become one of our most popular
options of late. Bring your boat,
and GPS and hire us for a day of information about location, tactics, tackle, fish options
given seasonal factors. You
cut down on what can be perhaps the most difficult component of any
trip to a new locale – getting to know the fishery. Let Cat Eye
Outfitter your Manitoba fishing guide get you out there where the fish
are biting.

we will send you our price lists and any other information you require.
