MARDI GRAS
It's called “Fat Tuesday” but if you're from Louisiana
you know that Mardi Gras isn't just one day in February,
it's a state of Mind. No doubt, remnants of parades and
parties can be seen and felt all year long, but the official
Mardi Gras season begins with Twelfth Night and ends at
midnight on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, when an estimated
9 gazillion “revelers” across the state take part in what
has been dubbed “the biggest party on earth.”
And while the most well known parades and balls are held
in New Orleans, there are a number of other cities across
the state that host formidable celebrations of their own.
