Edwin Workman and Todd Little, the Hickory sanitation workers who returned $5,100 they discovered in a bag of discarded clothing while working their route, will be rewarded with VIP experiences during the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge Saturday night, May 21, at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
After discovering the money—51 $100 bills—the men returned the money to the house where they had picked up the bag.
H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe’s Motor Speedway, was so impressed with the men’s honesty he decided to reward them.
“What these two men did was absolutely wonderful,” Wheeler said. “I’ve always admired people who are honest and Edwin and Todd are a great example of honest, hard-working people.”
