Overview of the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree program

    The BSIS is one of ETSU's two new Regents Online Degree Programs, a collaborative initiative of the Tennessee Board of Regents schools launched Fall 2001.  The degree will provide the student with a good liberal studies education and well-rounded academic experience.  It features the opportunity for students to integrate personal and professional growth through the exploration of perspectives, philosophies and experience in a variety of disciplines.  Additionally, it allows for two areas of concentration where the student may choose a minor or 12 hours of related coursework appropriate to his/her educational and professional goals.

     Individualized learning plans and advisement are hallmarks of the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies experience.  BSIS students are assigned an advisor who supports them throughout their course of study to reach the goal of earning their bachelor’s degree.

    Your Individual Learning Plan is the written summary you and your BSIS advisor develop to chart the courses you need to take to meet ETSU requirements and your personal course selections.  Your previous college credit is applied and you are given a copy of this written summary for future reference.  Communication with your advisor is available by e-mail, phone, fax, or meeting by appointment.

• Re-Admit form for former ETSU students last attended (before 1991) (forthcoming)
• Re-Admit form for former ETSU students (since 1991)
• Click on "Re-admit" (in table of contents, left side of webpage)

• Complete "Undergraduate Readmission Update Form" (an online form for readmission)
