Huufda Hotel Bed and Breakfast

Currently  Bed and breakfast accommodations offer guests the Ole, Lena and Olga bedrooms in our perpetual updated farm home built in the early 1900's.

The Ole Room, pictured below has two beds; queen sized and a full sized bed, leather love seat and it's own TV satellite system.

The foyer between the bedrooms has a single size hide-a-bed.

The Lena room features a down quilted quality king size canopy bed.

The Ole and Lena rooms share a bathroom and have a private entrance.  A landing between the two bedrooms has a hide-a-bed, (Odie, little terrier - is the photogenic option).

Guest's Private Entrance

The Olga room features a queen size bed, separate attached bathroom, small TV w/dvd player.  (Available after Ole and Lena rooms are rented).

A full breakfast is included and served in the bright Kitchen.  I usually whip up my personal favorite; puffy baked German pancakes which bake in the oven, they rise and fall.  A barbeque grill and small refrigerator is available.

Kitchen Game and Computer Room

Enjoy a game of Ping Pong or Pool in the Cedar Sun Room.

The crooked picture hints of the home roll advantage; actually Kevin keeps it quite level.

West Hot Tub Patio w/Lunch Table East Sun Room Patio
The deck wraps to the West side of the house.  We jokingly call it the West Wing.  It's a relaxing day to watch the sunset go down on the West Wing.

What People are Saying about the Huufda Hotel

A quick note to say thanks for everything...after a long day of 'on the road' (17 hours)...it was great to talk to you and be confirmed to arrive on such short notice...the horses and I were both treated like royalty....as far as I'm concerned Huufda Hotel is the only place in North Dakota to stay. I will definitely be back. Where else can you get fresh made German pancakes, cinnamon buns, and hot coffee. Thanks again.

You know what I like best about the Huufda Hotel?  The beds are so comfy!  The decor is cozy and you just want to put your feet up and relax.  I think that Marie makes a great morning meal with the smell of fresh brewed coffee, and the wonderful German pancakes!  Pretty good for a 3/4 Norwegian!!! Thanks for the nice times we have with you. We plan for many more.

I don't know if I can sum your place up in one sentence but here is what I tell all the horsey people I meet. I met the Crago's on a stop over to Canada and was very impressed with the hospitality and friendliness with which we were met.  I made reservations to come back with my husband and was again treated to a wonderful weekend.  We were treated to wonderful trail rides over two vastly different terrains which were close and easy to get to.  The lodgings, food and hospitality was among the best I have been privy to. I have since made one more trip up from Nebraska to visit and ride and plan on many more trips in the future.

Even though I'd never met you and Kevin before we stayed at the Huufda Hotel, I really felt like we were spending the day with friends!

E. M., Oconto, WI

Carlton and I found your hospitality, facilities and willingness to help travelers the best ever. You were such an inspiration to us that we opened our own horse motel. In all our travels in the states and abroad never have we found this sort of place to stay.  I tell everyone I can about the Huufda Hotel and the wonderful people there.  If I ever have an opportunity to visit that part of the country again, I will definitely plan on spending part of that time with you and yours. Again, thanks for making our visit at the hotel so very nice.

D. E., Cana,VA

The Huufda Hotel puts the big H in hospitality. You get the feeling of coming home. Marie is a great cook too. The horse facility gives horses plenty of room to stretch after a long trip, is well kept and safe, our horses were better off for staying there. I probably could write a page cause we had so much fun.

P. K., Lincoln, NE

If I was concerned about my horse's safety in a strange barn or the possibility of him getting out during the night, I would not be able to sleep at all.  I am pleased to say that I was very impressed with the stalls with the outdoor runs at the Huufda Hotel and had no doubts at all that my horse was in a safe place.
