GREETINGS FROM THE GOVERNOR

Dear Internet Travelers,

As Governor, I would like to thank you for your interest in our Silver State.  Nevada is a
jewel with many facets -- from its desert landscapes to its towering mountain peaks; from
pristine Lake Tahoe to the unparalleled Great Basin National Park; from its rustic small
towns to the glittering Las Vegas strip, which is the fastest growing city in the United
States.


Nevada is home to many attractive amenities including the Hoover Dam, formerly the
highest concrete dam in the U.S.  This locale offers many tours and breathtaking views
for our visitors to enjoy.  The city of Las Vegas, which has more hotel rooms than any
other city on earth, boasts many unique and inviting entertainment opportunities only
available in southern Nevada.  Our community is famous for fine dining, superior
hospitality, first class shopping, great entertainment, and a wide range of recreational
opportunities.

Whether you choose to visit one of our unique rural areas, our historic capital, Carson
City, or any of our beautiful and exciting venues, you are surely in for a wonderful
adventure.
