Esquire
Avg. Customer Review:
Its getting better...man For all those men sick of the idiotic Maxim clones out there, Esquire won me over with their refusal to conform to the "competition" and given time, will most likely win your approval as well. It was "The Genius Issue" which finally convinced me I had made the right decision in subscribing to Esquire. Although I still believe that Gear magazine was the greatest men's magazine I've ever come across, Esquire makes a good substitute.
Solid Writing and Well Worth the Subscription Esquire is the first Gentleman's magazine that I've subscribed to. I've read various issues of most of the others, but I wanted something that I wouldn't be embarassed to carry around with me. So far, I've been very happy with the content of Esquire. There's a little bit of the girly pics, but it's not overwhelming. Their customer service has been great.
the classic for the modern young man esquire has this great niche: information for young men with a kick. nothing like playboy's kick, but it tends to share some of the same great things with the playboy of old, including high end objects and gadgets like stereos and cars, fashion, health and relationship information, and fiction. combine this with journalism and you've got a pretty good magazine. and it's reasonably tame enough you can share it with your girlfriend or wife without getting her upset. sometimes i prefer it when esquire has more journalism or fiction and fewer 2 page fluff pieces, but it's still better than most of the alternatives.
