Marcus, Paul, NolskÚ and Spence first crashed onto the scene nine years ago forming the hard rock outfit “JUMP THE GUN”. The band split in 1997 with all members joining other projects, but reformed last year to become …ten/pence/short.
A change in musical style and a more mature attitude have made a big difference to the look and the sound of the band.
Influences within the band are taken from a wide spectrum, with groups such as Metallica and Nickelback joining the echoes of groups like Creed and even Starsailor.
Long term aims for the band involve much more live work, as well as writing and recording as much as possible. The group have all agreed that fame would be fantastic but it’s the chance to play live music they want the most, and play it they will....

Beyond Convention
Beyond Convention are a band making waves in the area of Worthing in West Sussex, they consist of three members Joel, Benji and Josh. They sound completely new with influences as broad as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead with Muse, Franz Ferdinand and Billy Talent thrown in for extra measure.
The band have played local gigs and smaller festivals here and around. On october 10th 2004 they took to the stage in supporting up and coming american band The Rock and Roll Worhip Circus. The band ar due to release an album over the next few months.

Coerce
'Coerce' (meaning to force, act or think in a certain way by use of pressure, threats, or intimidation), and were then involved in a tour all over the country including Nottingham, Birmingham and "The Cavern" in Liverpool. 2002 saw us recording an EP of our own material, which was distributed to friends, family and fans at our gigs. Mashtun Garce
Drew - Chris - Tony - James - Dean
Every band has a story to tell and Mashtun Grace is no different. Hailing from deepest darkest Hertfordshire Dean White, Chris Hemmings, Tony Donegan, James Poole & Drew Elliott have played, written & performed together in various guises since their teens. But the history of the final Mashtun name and line-up starts with another band, a band only partly comprised of some of our boys.
They were a rock band, a classic one in every sense of the word. They worked hard and gigged hard, ultimately winning the UK entry for the European Battle Of The Bands. They got to play the Taubertal rock festival in Germany in front of 15,000 people and got a taste for the big time, not to mention rock chicks, hotel rooms and well-stocked beer fridges. Full of confidence the boys decided to set off on a follow-up tour of California USA. They landed at Los Angeles LAX airport full of hope and optimism on the morning of September 11th 2001, a few hours later the twin towers fell.... Understandably no-one felt like partying. On return to the UK the guys went their own way with no intentions of continuing.
Sometime later Drew decided to do some simple acoustic writing & recording on his own, within days he, Chris, Tony & James were working on new material and had a new name, MASHTUN GRACE. It was all acoustic and it didn`t feel right, so they got a drummer and plugged in some distortion pedals - it got better but still wasn`t right. They gigged hard and it got better again but it was still not all there. They then lost their drummer to the army. Enter Dean White stage left...They rehearsed, they talked, they drank (a lot), they rehearsed even more, they played a low-key gig, it felt good. They then played a Saturday night to a full house at the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town - it rocked and they brought the house down.... suddenly it was very right, Mashtun Grace had become a complete unit.
They got a manager - Greg Niven, he got them a production/recording deal with Synesthesia. They put them into swanky London studios with Paul Thomson (Anne Dudley, Hans Zimmer), a man very good at making epic sound EPIC. Nick Taylor (The Darkness, Elastica) mixed the 14 tracks and George Morino (Coldplay, Nickleback) did some amazing mastering at Sterling Studios in New York. Oh, and they made a video...

The band started out as a 3-piece consisting of vocalist Russell Pearson, bassist Gary Trelease, and guitarist Joe Dean. As the band experimented, the need for a drummer was found in friend of the band, Martin Hawke. With a desire for more, guitarist James Winterflood was invited to join the band and bought with him a rustic, Earthtone9-like style. The band found their groove in the blended styles of emo, metal, and hardcore, and began writing deep, energetic, powerful music.

The Morenas
The Morenas Biography
Formed out of a mutual passion for music, vocalist/guitarist Paolo Morena, Drummer Steve Wilson and Bassist Tim Jackson are the Morenas; a fresh, groove-orientated powerhouse encapsulating Paolo’s raw and eclectic vocal style, inspired in part by his travels through Europe and beyond.
Their first meeting came from Paolo’s search to find like minded musicians to complete his dream of a band intent on pushing musical boundaries, first with Steve at a Francis Dunnery concert and then Tim at a local studio where the three of them rehearsed unaware of the imminent connection.
After a year of dedicated rehearsals and unrelenting touring the band, together with a group of local entrepreneurs created the label Bleach Records as a vehicle to aid the Morenas in their journey towards success. Never a band intent on standing still, they write music that makes you get up move. Not just because of the rhythm filled grooves or the addictively outrageous bass lines. Not even for the stage presence of front man Paolo Morena. Merely, the Morenas are a great British rock band producing music that they; like many others, want to hear.
