NEW DATA - Trade Deficit Increases in November 2004

The Nation’s international trade deficit increased to $60.3 billion in November from $56.0 billion (revised) in October, as imports increased and exports decreased. (12 January 2005).

Requirement for Reporting the Kimberley Process Certificate Numbers for Exports (Reexports) of Rough Diamonds via the Automated Export System

The U.S. Census Bureau proposes to amend the Foreign Trade Statistics Regulations to incorporate the requirement for reporting the Kimberley Process Certificate number for the exports (reexports) of rough diamonds filed through the Automated Export System in accordance with the Clean Diamond Trade Act.(12 January 2005)

Notice to users of the FT900: U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services

With the release of the January 2005 statistics on March 11, 2005, exhibits 14 and 14a of the U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services release and exhibits 6 and 6a of the FT-900 Supplement will be revised.
