Dear Barbara and John,
We stayed at your place one night in late September and John very kindly provided us with detailed maps showing how to get to a variety of places namely Lullingstone Roman Villa, Knole and Chartwell as well as another trip to Rye, Sissinghurst, and Battle.
Heartfelt thanks for those - I don't think that we would have found Lullingstone without your map and the map was so good we were there half an hour before it opened. We thought that it was really interesting and the audioguide made it particularly real and alive. All the other places were interesting and beautiful - Sissinghurst was the highlight that we hoped it would be. Rye was picturesque and we had a lovely walk around the old town centre so thank you for the recommendation - we wouldn't have gone there otherwise.
Thank you for your hospitality - Alan said that your eggs were the best we had on the trip Barbara.
We have been very busy since getting back and I have been meaning for some time to let you know how useful the maps were. I hope that you are both well and that the business is flourishing. Thank you again.
J. & A. Bosley NZ.
