The number and variety of restaurants in
Bali has increased enormously in the past 2 years and one
only has to look at Jalan Laksamana in Seminyak to see this.
Some have become an instant success while others tool time
to develop a regular clientele and a few just fell by the
wayside because they were either wrongly located, dreadfully
taste food or otherwise 'not so friendly' to their customer.
The list we provided here is merely a drop
in the pond of the Balinese tourism (especially restaurants)
list but do not feel you have to choose one from the list
here; all restaurants in Bali are eligible for nomination,
from the humble warung (street stalls) to the exclusive
fine-dining establishment.

BALI Busiest festivity
season - March 4th - 19th 2005
March 2005 marks one of the busiest
festive season in Bali with both the island's 2(two) major celebrations
celebrated on a short period of time intervals. The Galungan and
Kuningan celebration which took around 2 weeks and the Balinese
new year, based on the Caka calendar nearly overlaps, and surely
will be a major sight seeing and celebration any visitors coming
to the island, should never missed.
Galungan and Kuningan festival to honour the the victory of goods
agains evil and a festivity to Balinese will create a truly memorable
viewing of the island, with penjors and ornaments flag around
the island orchestrating a wonderful and rich scenery. On the
other hand, the Nyepi celebration, with mainly focus of peacefullness
and quite, will contrasting the celebration of Galungan and Kuningan.
Balinese will shelter in the house, with 'catur brata penyepian'
or 'four prohibition during Nyepi' to prohibit them in doing any
activity. This time of the year, if you happened to pass by the
island by air, the island itself is gone as though it is sink
to the bottom of the ocean.
