Made R580 Driver 
Demo'd a new R580 this past summer and was just as straight
as always but was 20-30 yards longer and measured out my
longest drive on a flat fairway at 325. Needless to
say I'm convinced it is the best driver I've ever hit. -Ashley

I just purchased a Taylor Made R580 XD with an MAS 65 regular
flex shaft. I've played with it twice and I love it. With
this club I am consistently hitting the ball 250 - 275 yards
in the fairway. I obviously am thrilled with it because
I am now hitting the ball with or past some of my buddies
that I always considered long drivers. The head of the club
is so large and forgiving that even sweet-spot misses are
decent drives. I am still experimenting with this club and
plan to increase my swing speed in the future.
By the way, I was able to get this great price on this club

Made R580 Driver
ebay has some great deals on new Taylor Made R580. Mine
is 8.5 degree with grafolloy blue stiff shaft. This club
is at least 15 yards longer than my Cleveland launcher and
straighter. I recommend you try different lofts and shafts
to find the right mix. I was surprised how dramatic different
combos can be. - John

I usually change my driver once a year. I had this Taylor
Made R580 driver in my bag for the last 12 months. I was
tempted to try new drivers from Titlest and Nike but after
every game, I am content with 580 driver. I am not long
but I tend to be in the fairway most of the time. - Herm

To start, I live in England and the Taylor Made R580 driver
are £399 ($650). I could not believe my eyes when
I see the price of $218 on eBay (RockBottomGolf.com), so
I bought it and got it UPS to my door from USA for only
$29. Perhaps there are loads of these now, given that the
new R580 XD has surfaced? Anyway, I've been a Callaway man
for years having the BB and BBB. As you might know, these
are great clubs with a great feel and a lovely sound! That
was then though, and today the R580 puts them in the shade.
Mine is a 9.5 deg having used 8 deg BB's in the past. I
don't see any need to change the stock shaft (MAS stiff).
It works like a dream. Just tee it up a little higher. Added
at least 10-15 yards to my drive but the most impressive
thing was the accuracy! May have something to do with this
having a little more loft that I'm used to? You gotta get

After reading all the reviews on this club, I decided to
go for a 10.5 degree model with a stiff Grafalloy Blue shaft.
I have been playing during the last five years with Callaway
drivers, and after the first round with the Taylor Made
R580, what a difference! I am driving 25 to 40 yards longer
than with my VFT, as straight as I was, and because of the
added distance, if my shot goes wrong, I am still approaching
with a loft iron to the green. In three rounds I had cut
7 strokes already and had the best round of my life!!! -

I purchased this driver after hitting a relative's King
Cobra, and getting hooked on the feel of titanium drivers
felt. I’ve never really had a driver of my own, so
I figured now was the time. After the first few swings with
my Taylor Made R580 driver I was hooked. I was allowed to
take it out of the store, to the driving range, and I was
very impressed. Long, straight, and very forgiving! If you
have a decent swing, and need a good driver, look no further
