SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Feb. 5, 2005) – It was another close game and another tough loss for the East Tennessee State men’s basketball team. The Buccaneers had their opportunities late in the game but victory was elusive once more, as a poor offensive effort in the second half doomed ETSU and allowed the Wofford Terriers to drop the Bucs 68-64 Saturday evening at the Benjamin Johnson Arena. With the loss, the Bucs moved to 6-14 overall, 2-8 in SoCon play, while Wofford improved to 10-10, 3-6.

ETSU builds momentum at East Tennessee Indoor Meet

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 5, 2005) – The East Tennessee State University track and field returned home to host its second meet of the year with the East Tennessee Indoor Meet on Saturday. Seven men’s and women’s teams competed in addition to ETSU at the meet including SoCon opponents Appalachian State, Davidson, and Western Carolina along with Georgia State, UNC Asheville, Milligan, and Winthrop. Several Bucs recorded personal bests throughout the day demonstrating that they are gearing up for the SoCon Indoor Championships just three weeks away.
