Generally Scooters are legal to ride. By most standards they will fall under
the classification of bicycles. In certain areas they fall under a sub
category of motorcycles. But given their speed and power, they in almost all
cases do not require a license to drive. If you follow basic bicycle laws of
your region, wear a helmet & don't ride your electric scooter on the
sidewalk, and are visible to pedestrian and vehicular traffic and you should
be okay. However, regional or city legislation may have regulations that
specifically apply to motor scooters. Since we serve a global market, we
cannot give the exact regulations that apply to all regions. We suggest that
you contact your local law enforcement agency for the most up to date and
accurate information.
Safety Tips We
Recommend You Follow
Check the scooter's equipment including the
nuts and bolts, steering, brakes and controls, frame (for stress and
fractures) and tires (for wear)
Obey Traffic Rules
Do not dart out of driveways or from between parked cars. Stop at all stop
signs. Be careful when checking traffic and don't swerve when looking over
your shoulder.
