Goals
v
To
develop over the next three years (2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004), a
set of ninety on-line (Internet-based, not Internet enhanced)
undergraduate courses that will serve multiple groups of students from
a university-wide perspective:
v
Students at extended campus sites or involved in off-campus cohort
programs.
v
Students enrolled in the BGS degree program.
v
Nontraditional students such as adults and part-time students.
v
Traditional students wanting to take some of their coursework on-line
Possible Options
for Faculty Support
For each option, the
amount that has been proposed $1,800
v
Stipend in second summer term.
Ø
Faculty member would be responsible for checking his/her status
relative to maximum compensation (+25%) per year.
v
Stipend in first or second summer term.
Ø
Faculty member would be responsible for checking his/her status
relative to maximum compensation (+25%) per year.
v
Replacement costs for a part-time instructor for three semester hours
to provide released time in fall or spring.
v
Overload pay during fall or spring.
v
Equipment and/or software.
v
Note:
If a faculty member does not have the basic hardware and software
needed to put a course on-line, this level of equipment will be made
available apart from the $1,800 support.

Travel.
v
Student worker or graduate assistant time.
v
