Rain reigns
Unstable weather conditions that dumped up to a foot of rain on East Hawaii will continue to ease, the National Weather Service said Saturday.
The low-pressure system hit the western end of the state earlier in the week before hammering the Big Island with thundershowers Thursday night. Full Story » |

HCC growth leads state campuses Spring enrollment at Hawaii Community College jumped nearly 8 percent over last year. The Hilo college's growth rate led all campuses of the university's statewide system, more than doubling the next highest growth rate which was 3.9 percent at the UH-Manoa campus.
