June 18 - 19  Miners Memorial Day Celebrations

Labour music Friday Night, graveside vigil, celebrations, awards, recognitions, music, celebration of Cumberland's rich labour history.

This year's performers to include: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. A three day event featuring a variety of musical genres and performers from all over Canada and the world. Three stages plus a Kid's stage, family oriented.

One of the premier annual Arts and Crafts Festivals in BC.

July 30 - Aug 1  Comox Nautical Days

A weekend-long festival of family fun with events such as International Bathtub Race, Canoe Jousting, Clam Chowder cook-off, Build Bail and Sail and the Ceremony of the Flags. Plus fireworks on the Monday night.

This successful faire, in its 11th year, occupies two floors of outstanding arts and crafts in the Florence Filberg Centre, Courtenay, B.C. Featuring quality, juried, hand-crafted gifts made by well known local artists and crafters. There will be on-going demonstrations of decorative painting, needlework and woodwork.
