When to go
Snowbirds flock to the Scottsdale-Phoenix area from January through April, so expect higher rates and more crowds on the fairways and at the spa. June through September bring hot weather and lower prices on just about everything. Prices (and temperatures) are moderate from October through December, and in May. But whatever time of the year you choose to come, Scottsdale always welcomes yo with open arms.

Insider tips
Baseball fans know Phoenix-Scottsdale as the home of the Cactus League’s spring training. Teams (and their followers) reserve large blocks of rooms each March, so book early.
From October through May, Scottsdale’s downtown art galleries host receptions on Thursday nights. Meet the artists, or enjoy snacks and drinks.
Most visitors come to the Desert Botanical Garden during the day. But after dark, cacti and plants are illuminated by hidden lights, and night bloomers come to life.
