HOTEL SAN RÉMO GETS BRANDED LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, AUGUST 17, 2004 -- Just when Vegas thought it was okay to come out from the blockbuster mergers, the Hôtel San Rémo Casino and Resort announced their venture with the founders of the Hooters Restaurant Chain to create . . . you guessed it . . . the Hooters Casino Hotel. Under the 17 year ownership of Japanese investor, Mr. S. Izumi, the Hôtel San Rémo has seen many changes along the Strip from its location at 115 East Tropicana Blvd., and will itself now undergo a substantial transformation commencing in the spring of 2005. The San Rémo's Executive Vice President, Mike Hessling, is looking forward to the changes. "We've been a long time player near the Strip, but this brings a world famous brand and a unique niche to the Vegas scene." The 711 room hotel and casino resort will remain open as it evolves into an oasis of carefree fun and entertainment for which the famous Hooters brand is so well known. While guests can expect to see Hooters Girls throughout Hooters Casino Hotel, alternatives in dining and entertainment will also be featured. In addition to a Hooters Restaurant adjacent to the casino floor, a Dan Marino's Fine Food and Spirits restaurant and its extremely popular Martini Bar will be added, along with the sports fan favorite, Pete & Shorty's Tavern and Book. A lighter fare health club, sushi bar, and the Hooters Beach Club will be included, to inject Hooters energy and style into the dramatic new tropical pool area. Hooters President, Neil Kiefer, says, "We think we have a winner in bringing the notoriety and wackiness of our brand together with this great location and the experienced and dedicated folks of the San Rémo." A grand opening is planned for late 2005, or, as the new partners in the Hooters Casino Hotel say; "What happens in Vegas, happens in 2005." |
