Convenient parking
is available at San Francisco International Airport 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Hourly and daily parking is provided in the Domestic and International Garages.
Valet parking for all terminals is located in the Domestic Garage, off the Departures
Level roadway opposite Delta Airlines. SFO's ParkFAST area, also located in the Domestic Garage
off the Departures Level roadway, offers a convenient, covered reserved area with an automatic entry and exit system.
The Long Term Parking Lot is located off
the US Highway 101/San Bruno Avenue-East interchange. All SFO parking facilities
have a 30-day parking limit.

Does SFO have designated parking for persons with disabilities?
Disabled parking is available in all SFO garages and the Long Term Parking Lot.
Vehicles must display a valid Disabled license plate or placard.
In the Domestic and International Terminal Garages, disabled parking spaces are
adjacent to the elevator lobbies. In the Long Term Parking Lot, disabled parking
spaces are adjacent to bus stop #1. Shuttle buses are lift-equipped.
What are the transit options to and from SFO?
Ground Transportation
options include frequent and reliable public transit, Airporters (privately operated
scheduled buses), door-to-door vans, taxis and limousines. Please refer to our Ground
Transportation section for information regarding destinations, fares and schedules.

Can I rent a car at SFO?
Car rental agencies
are located in the SFO Rental Car Center.
To access the Rental Car Center from the Airport terminals, take the AirTrain Blue Line.
AirTrain, SFO's fully automated people mover system, operates 24 hours every day and
provides convenient and frequent service throughout SFO. AirTran stations are located
in all terminals, parking garages, the Rental Car Center and SFO's BART station.
What can I take through security?
For the lastest list of prohibited and permitted items, please refer to the
Transportation Security Administration's website.
How early should I arrive for my flight?
SFO suggests that you check with your airline directly for the latest recommended
arrival times. For domestic flights, most airlines suggest arriving 1 to 2 hours
before departure. For international flights, most airlines recommend arriving 2
to 3 hours before departure.

Where can I pick someone up at SFO?
Domestic arrivals can be met in the baggage claim area on the Arrivals/Baggage
Claim Level of the Domestic Terminals.
International arrivals can be met at the U.S. Customs exit in the Arrivals Lobby,
International Terminal.
Vehicles are allowed curbside, as long as they are in designated areas, and are
actively loading or unloading. Vehicles are never allowed to wait at the curb and
are required to circle the terminal or park in hourly parking while waiting for
an arriving party. Close and convenient parking is available for $1 per 12
minutes in both the Domestic and International Garages.
Can I escort my child or elderly parent to the gate?
Procedures regarding both unaccompanied minors and elderly adults vary by airline.
SFO recommends that you ask your airline about its policy
before heading to the airport.
Where is the Lost and Found?
For items lost in the terminals or on AirTrain, the Lost and Found is located on the Arrivals/ Baggage Claim Level of Domestic Terminal 1, near Baggage Carousel 17. Where can I smoke at SFO?
California State Law prohibits smoking inside all public buildings, and
within 20 feet of any main exit, entrance, or operable window of a public building. Smoking
is permitted outdoors in designated smoking areas only. Please observe all smoking restrictions.
