TUNISIA -
It
is on these beaches that Tunisian hotels have been built
as part of tourist resorts: Tabarka-Aïn Draham, Bizerte,
Tunis, Nabeul-Hammamet, Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia and Jerba.
Although Tozeur-Kebili is an inland tourist area, it is
equally attractive. Tunisia has about 700 hotels,
evenly-distributed between two star establishments to
five-star luxurious hotels, catering for all tastes and
holiday budgets. Modest hotels are equally comfortable and
convenient.
A few years ago, hotel entertainment
was developed and more attractions were added. Tourists
have a large choice of entertainment, both inside and
outside the hotels: recreational and sporting activities,
trekking, excursions, cultural tours, visits to the medina
- the ancient town - visits of monuments and
archaeological sites, exhibitions, festivals, shopping for
handicrafts, restaurants and lively first-class
night-clubs.
The desert
is that feverish landscape where everything seems to disappear in the glaring light; a lunar landscape with a cracked soil and dusty roads that take you God knows where, mullets and people…You will discover the troglodyte houses in villages hung in the mountainside or deeply dug in the
ground. In the middle of the desert lie a green sand-staining bouquet, a heat-defying shade, and an endlessly running water to overwhelm you with coolness and a sense of well-being. This is the oasis, and so is the ‘paradise’ that God seems to describe in the slightest detail and only the desert people can dream
of. This is magic and exalted

FINLAND -
offers such
variety throughout its vast landscape that it’s best to
learn a bit about the cities and regions before you go.
That way you can plan to experience a taste of all the
many facets of Finland!
From
the Baltic Sea to the Arctic Circle. The
seventh-largest Western European country, Finland is
nestled between Sweden, Norway and Russia, with the Baltic
countries to the south, separated by the Gulf of Finland.
Its borders stretch from its capital city of Helsinki on
the southern coast, up to the expansive and sparsely
inhabited landscape of Lapland above the Arctic Circle.
Finland is home to untouched forests, 187,888
crystal-clear lakes, 179,584 islands and 5,100 rapids.
Land
of the Midnight Sun. Warmed
by the Gulf Stream, this Scandinavian country enjoys a
climate similar to that of New England and the Great Lakes
region of the United States—with four very distinct
seasons. In the summertime, the lush countryside basks in
the warm, nurturing rays of the sun that shines for 15
hours a day! In the northern regions, the sun remains high
in the sky for two months, shining 24 hours a day. Between
the months of October and April, Finland becomes a vibrant
and glowing festival of lights. No matter where you visit in Finland, from the spectacular
archipelago in the south to exotic Lapland in the north,
you will find a vibrant, friendly country of
sophistication, fascinating history and unspoiled natural
beauty—where English is widely spoken
USA,
NEW MEXICO, HISTORY -
It is often said that New Mexico is a blend of three cultures — the
Native American, the Spanish, and the Anglo — and that
is the case with the tales of our history and in our
day-to-day interactions with one another. Where at one
time, our "blend" was more likely a clash of
differing cultures with very little discernable common
ground, life in 21st century New Mexico is about honoring
ourselves and each other's history and trying to forge
common ground so that we can live together in tolerance
and acceptance.
First
Peoples. Native
American groups have inhabited the territory of New Mexico
since shortly after the time of Christ. Their cliff
dwellings and pit houses, ancient kivas, abandoned cities
along ancient trade routes, and mysterious symbols etched
in rock serve as strong reminders that New Mexico was home
to native cultures several centuries before the Europeans
reached the Americas. Evidence exists to this day in the
structures at Chaco Canyon, Bandelier, Puye, Gila, Aztec,
and Salmon.
Early
Spanish Explorers. Some
100 years before the pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock,
Spanish explorers made their way into present-day New
Mexico. In 1532, Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca led the
first European expedition into the region. Other explorers
quickly followed, inspired by rumors that he had
discovered Seven Cities of Gold...
