DevEdit Requirements
DevEdit is a series of ASP, ASP.Net or PHP scripts that should be copied to your web server.
Anyone using DevEdit to create/edit HTML content in their browser must be using Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above
and have JavaScript enabled. If they do not, a normal <TextArea> tag will appear instead.
Clientside
- Operating System: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP
- Web Browser: Internet Explorer v5.5 or above (If the client is not using Internet Explorer v5.5 or above, then a normal <TextArea> tag will appear instead.)
- JavaScript: Must be enabled
- Note: DevEdit will not work on Apple Macintosh's
ASP Version
- Operating System: Windows 2000/2003 Server
- Web Server: IIS5 or above
- Scripting Language: ASP 3.0 and VBScript 5.5
- Other: You must be able to use classes (available in VBScript 5.5)
ASP.Net Version
- Operating System: Windows 2000/2003 Server
- Web Server: IIS5 or above
- .NET Framework: 1.0 or above
PHP Version
- Operating System: Windows 2000 or Linux/Unix
- Web Server: Apache Web Server / IIS5 or above
- Scripting Language: PHP 4.1.0 or above
- Other: There must be NO restrictions on browser-based file uploading if you want image uploading to work. This includes but is not limited to open_basedir, file_upload, etc. If you are unsure, please check with your web host before purchasing.
