Located a short walk from an urban wild lake, home to nesting migratory waterfowl in the summer. Feathered visitors can include 46 species of migratory ducks and shorebirds. Residents include Moose, Eagles, Ravens, Magpies, Snowshoe Hares and more. Conner Lake and Bog is one of the prime birding areas in Anchorage. In winter time the park has several kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails around the lake and through snow covered stands of conifers and deciduous trees.
