Naturally pigmented cotton and fine fabrics have been produced
at Goyal Group, The vast array of natural cotton
colors has been well documented since the time of the New World
explorers.
As stewards of this unique genetic resource, The Native
Cotton Project has recovered a wide range of naturally
colored cotton yarn, including cream, beige, brown, rust, chocolate,
mauve, avocado and other earthy tones. No dyes, chemicals or other
synthetic processes have been used to grow, soften or color the
yarn. This exquisite pigmentation is achieved organically, in
a chemical-free environment. Naturally colored fiber reduces chemical
pollution on the field, in the factory and in the home.
Uniquely soft and luxurious, naturally colored yarn, both ring
and rotor spun in yarn counts from Ne 6 to Ne 60. Subtle moulinex
and melange effects can be achieved by blending naturally pigmented
colors with fine, organic white varieties of cotton, creating
lustrous and elegant textiles for the most sophisticated tastes.
