Judicial Clerkship at V&E
Each year, approximately 20% of our first year lawyers will come to us after serving judicial clerkships. Our lawyers have served judicial clerkships in federal and state courts across the country, and we have former judicial clerks in all of our national offices and in almost all of our sections. The firm encourages its summer associates to explore their interest in judicial clerkships and has created a Judicial Clerkship Directory of our lawyers who have clerked as a resource for those who are considering applying for clerkships. In recognition of the enhanced value of the services that former judicial clerks are expected to provide the firm and its clients, the firm pays certain additional compensation to former judicial clerks and gives appropriate salary and partnership class credit.
