from the Your Kidding Me File
The Washington Wine Commission recently opened a new website.. Unfortunately I can not provide you with the Url.
Its not that I don't know it its just, well! I don't really know why. You see I asked them to do a link exchange with www.winesofcanada.com. Their response was
Due to the fact that we are a state run agency which exclusively promotes Washington wines, we're not able to do a link exchange with Wines of Canada
I find it hard to believe that a link exchange between our two websites would not benificial to both the Canadian wine trade and Washington State wine trade but they say no. Their website states the following
The Washington Wine Commission (WWC) this month launches a new branding campaign under the tagline, Washington State - the Perfect Climate for Wine. The new campaign is designed to increase consumer awareness, drive sales for Washington State's world class wines and promote tourism throughout the state's wine country
In my view a link on winesofcanada.com would help their tourism and wine industry.
Of course they do have links to California ,Vermont, MA, and Oregon wine websites. They also have links to British website. Not to mention one that sells French German Austrian and other wines.
I guess its just that bad neighbour Canada they can't link to.
One site they link to says
Carefully selected wines, cheeses, and imported specialty foods
Boy does that promote washington state. The site actually promotes Spanish products
Okay fine they don't want to link to me no problem but the reason given Bu--it
Maybe I should not be so hard on this website after all there are a number ( I'm sorry to say)
Canadian wineries who will not link to wines of Canada They have never bothered to say way.
They don't even answer their e-mail.

Bob's view on Tasting Wines , Charging for wine tastings, Wines with bad names
Room Temperature for wine means a typical cellar temperature of 58 F (14 C) the ideal temperature at which wine is stored.
Red wine is often served too warm. The bottle should feel cool to the touch before drinking, reflecting the ideal room temperature.
