Course Description

The full marathon begins on State Road 604 also known as the “Old Los Angeles Highway” just one half mile north of the Gold Strike Hotel & Gambling Hall. Both the full and half marathons remain on this road until making a right turn onto Mesa Verde at marathon mile 20.9. PLEASE REMEMBER to support the businesses along our route; they help make this event possible.

Mile 0.0 (the start) is at 2897 ft. above sea level and located one half mile north of the Gold Strike Hotel. You are standing on the starting line directly in front of the Letica Corporation plant. Letica is a national manufacturer of various sorts of cups and provides us with the tens of thousands of cups used along the Las Vegas Marathon course.

Mile 3.0 is at 3064 feet above sea level; the road parallels Interstate 15. There are many Yucca plants and Joshua trees in the surrounding desert.
