How can I be sure that my hotel will be of good quality?

Do you charge any fee for the services you offer?
At edinburgh-hotels.ws we do not charge any fee. The payment is made directly to the hotel. We will pass your credit card details to the hotel you have selected.

"How do I pay for the booking?
Once you select a hotel you submit your reservation form and credit card information. Then your accommodation request will be processed as quickly as possible. Unless you provide your credit card details, you will not be able to book a room. However no money will be charged from your credit card. This is just a hotel policy to guarantee your booking. Upon arrival at the hotel you will be required to produce a method of payment – cash, bankers cheque or credit card.

Which credit cards are accepted and what details must I supply?
Although most hotels accept all major credit cards, there are some exceptions. So we advise you to check first the information on the hotel page. In order to proceed your accommodation request we need you to supply us with the following details: full credit card number, start date (optional), expiry date, security code, issue number (for switch cards only), and the full name and address of the credit card holder.

Why does the hotel need my credit card details?
This is a standard room reservation procedure. The credit card details you supply will be checked through an electronic pre-authorisation to ensure that the credit card is valid and that it has sufficient funds to cover your expenses.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
Yes. We treat the security of our clients' information matter very seriously. Your credit card information is strictly confidential.

Can I pay for the room in cash without the use of a credit card?
To allow us to proceed with your reservation request, we require you to submit your credit card details. Unfortunately we cannot proceed your reservation without them. Your credit card however will not be charged. You can then pay in cash or whatever way you find suitable after you check out from the hotel.

Is the rate per person or per room?
All quoted room rates are per room per night, unless specified otherwise.
Are there any supplementary fees or charges? No, the rates you see on the selected page are the rates you pay. There are absolutely no other additional charges or taxes.
Is breakfast included in the rate? Most hotels do include breakfast in the rate. This is usually specified in the page where the booking is made.
Does the rate include VAT? All rates that are displayed on our website do include Value Added Tax. Moreover there are no additional taxes and the price you see on the selected page is the total you will pay.

Are your rates at a discount?

Do the hotels displayed on your website offer free stay for children?
Most of the hotels state free of charge stay for children below 8 years of age. However you need to check each hotel’s policy because some do not offer you such options and some have different age criteria. How do I choose a hotel?
Our webpage is made very easy to navigate. There are several ways to choose a hotel that matches your needs. You can either search for a list of hotels by certain area that you require, or you may want to search by category and pricing. If you want to check for availability for certain dates then go the hotel page and click “make a reservation”. At the top of the page you will find dates and availability.

Are rollaway beds/cots available?
A large number of our hotels do offer rollaway beds and cots as well as facilities for disabled customers. This information is usually displayed on the selected hotel page where all facilities and amenities of the particular hotel are mentioned. Most hotels also have special services and policy for children, pets etc.
Do hotels have minimum age requirements? Although most of them don’t some hotels might have minimum age restrictions, especially those with casinos on site. Please inquire directly with the hotel.

Can I specify room location or any other requests?
Can I check-in earlier/ later than the check-in time? On some occasions there might be possible to check in earlier. However it is advisable that you check this out with the particular hotel. If the room you have booked has not been occupied the night before your arrival, you will be able to check in earlier. Still if it has been occupied you will probably not be able to check in since the housekeeper has to prepare the room for you.
On the other hand if you need to check in later then you will have to inquire at the reception of the hotel. If there is nobody waiting for your room then you will most likely be permitted to check out later.
However we advise you to discuss that with the hotel before arrival.

Is it possible to leave my luggage at the hotel?
Yes. Most of the hotels are equipped with a concierge desk, and they will themselves offer you this option. Those that do not have a concierge desk will most likely advise you to leave your luggage behind the reception desk.
What is the cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy for the hotels depends on the particular hotel. Most hotels accept cancellation from seven to one days prior to the day of arrival. If you fail to cancel your booking in the required term then you will be charged a fee for the first night’s stay. Cancellations must be communicated to us or directly to the hotel.

All you need to do is enter your e-mail address and then you will be shown your current bookings. Then follow our simple instructions. Guests receive a personalised, automatic confirmation by email.

Please note that if you have not received an e-mail confirmation of your cancellation, including a cancellation reference number, you should assume your booking has NOT been cancelled, and contact us immediately to prevent any charges to your credit card.
