What is IT&E Wireless Broadband Access?
With this powerful, innovative technology, you enjoy an " always on" high-speed Internet access delivered wirelessly to your home or office. IT&E Wireless Broadband Access does not require any telephone lines or modems, and with speeds comparable and exceeding other broadband Internet services, IT&E Wireless Broadband Access provides fast, dependable and secure Internet connections.

Does IT&E Wireless Broadband Access use a telephone line?
No. IT&E Wireless Broadband Access does not require any phone lines or additional modems. You won't miss that important call or get a busy signal because there are no phone lines to tie up! Back to Top

How fast is the connection?
Depending on the package you purchase, the download/upload speeds are as high as 512Kbps/32Kbps for Basic Service and up to 2.0Mbps/1.5Mbps for Premium Service (available later this year). Speeds are dependent on several external factors such as your computer, LAN, number of subscribers in the area, and the website you are visiting. Back to Top

What other services are included?
Along with Wireless high-speed Internet access, you'll also receive: 1MB of Webspace, 1 Email Address, and the option to upgrade with other featured services such as dial tone, for local and long distance calling and fax capabilities. Back to Top

What equipment will I need?
Your computer should be outfitted with a Network Interface Card (NIC) and a Cat-5 Cable with RJ45 plugs. You may need to purchase a router, if you will be connecting more than one personal computer to IT&E Wireless Broadband Access. IT&E will provide the Subscriber Terminal and connecting cables. Our technicians will come to your home or office to install the equipment, which will remain the property of IT&E at all times. Back to Top

What is included in the standard installation?
Your IT&E installation technician will perform the following steps:

  1. Verify that your location receives adequate signal strength for Wireless Broadband Access
  2. Consult with you on where you want the Subscriber Terminal placed inside your premises
  3. Install a Subscriber Terminal consisting of an Outdoor Unit(Antenna) and an Indoor Unit (Interface Box)
  4. Verify that the Subscriber Terminal is functioning and that your Wireless Broadband Access connection is active

How long will the installation take?
IT&E will contact you within 2-3 business days after you have passed a credit review. Our Installation team will inform you of the scheduled time and date of installation. Installation can take from 2-4 hours depending on several factors such as your home, building, reception, etc. Someone will have to be present at your home or office during the installation. Is this service upgradeable?
Yes. Later this year, Premium Service will be available, offering download/upload speeds up to 2.0Mbps/1.5Mbps. Back to Top

Is it secure?
