Trout Trips Guide PhotoBrent Southerland

Brent is a Colorado native who was born and raised in a small mining town on the western slope. From the time he was old enough to ride on his father’s shoulders, Brent spent much of his youth fly-fishing the Gunnison River and its vast array of freestone and tail water tributaries. Over the years, his love for the art of catching fish with flies has grown at the same rate as his fly tying and angling skills.

Today Brent travels across the state in search of trophy trout and picturesque sceneries. In addition to being an expert angler, Brent is also an avid duck hunter and enjoys the fall season the most because of the many "Cast-N-Blast" opportunities that Colorado has to offer. Brent loves sharing his knowledge and skills and takes pride in ensuring that his clients get the most out of their fly-fishing experience. He’s energetic when the lines are tight, patient when they’re not, and he’s always as excited as his clients to bring their fish to the net!
