Welcome all you wonderful people with an interest in this wonderful art form. I hope that looking through this web site will give you some enjoyment.
You will find information on classes, costumes, bellydance history and culture. Bellydance holidays, music and events. Articles, news and lots, lots more.

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Roz, I have been studying and teaching belly dance for over 15 years. Prior to entering the bellydance scene, I worked as a professional artist, painting landscapes in oil. My paintings were exhibited all over the country along with other artists, Ashley Jackson, Tony Brummel-Smith, Neil Spillman and Kate and Tom Holland. Galleries included, Thornthwaite and Harrogates Aquarius.

I also restored paintings and ran classes in oil painting. Along with organising exhibitions for many charities. However I have not lost my love of art, simply channelled it into the production of a bellydance quarterly magazine (BASTHABDA) this web site and lots of other creative projects. All combined into my now successful Basthabda business.

Afer a leave of absence from teaching , other than a few very welcome private classes, I am now ready to resume classes, now in the Northampton area. details are on the EVENTS page. Looking forward to meeting some new friends. I really need the exercise as I have put on far too much weight for me.
