Some companies in th resale industry try very hard to sell your timeshare, while others are happy to take your money and stick your ad on a web page. There is only one way to be certain what you actually get for your advertising fees.

Advertising Price Ranges

The following information is based on phone surveys throughout the timeshare resale industry. We have assembled this information to be used as a guide only. Actual prices may and will vary depending on the company researched.

  • Basic Internet Advertising - Your advertisement is placed on a website with little or no promotion. Basically you and the company are the only ones who know it's there. This service can range from $20 to $50 US.
  • High Level Internet Advertising - Your advertisement is placed on a well promoted website using search engines and keyword marketing. This service is typically priced between $150 and $200 US.
  • High Level Internet Marketing with Promotions and Incentives - This type of package utilizes incentives to entice buyers and renters. This type of promotion works well with buyers looking to get a deal. Your advertising fee could now be between $200 and $250 US.
  • High Level Internet / Promotions / Full Customer Service - This type of service is nice especially during the sale or rental process. Advertisements are modified, prices changed, all by a company representative. Expect to pay $300 to $400 dollars for this type of top quality company.
  • High Level Internet / Promotions / Full Customer Service / Additional Advertising Media - Some companies also utilize additional forms of media to advertise your timeshare. These typically include radio, newspaper, and television advertising. This type of aggressive stratedgy usually runs between $400 and $500 US.
  • Outbound Marketing Campaigns - In addition to all the other techniques mentioned above the most aggressive timeshare resale companies employ an outbound call center designed to ask current owners to purchase additional weeks of timeshare. This feature adds on a few dollars bringing the price range for for a full service advertisement to $600 - $750 US.

Timeshare resale advertising can get expensive. It all depends on how fast you want to get your timeshare sold or rented. The more aggressive the advertising the better the chances are of selling or renting. It's all about exposure. The more people who see you advertisement, the better your chances. In the end, the old rule still applies, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
