I can't turn on my IT&E Wire less Digital PCS phone at all. What could be the problem?
There could be a number of reasons:

    • The battery may not be fully charged.
    • Your phone's leather case may be preventing the clip from getting the appropriate connection.
    • You may need to clean the connection at the bottom of the phone where the clip plugs in.
    • The power outlet that your adapter is plugged into may not be working.
    • You may reattach the battery by taking it off and putting it back on again.
    • You may want to try to power up your PCS phone while the charger is plugged into it.

The display window of my IT&E Wireless Digital PCS phone appears unusual. How can I fix it?
You may need to reset the phone.

    • Turn off the phone.
    • Take out the battery.
    • Put the battery back in.
    • Turn the phone back on.

It could be an earpiece or microphone problem.

    • Be sure to speak into the microphone.
    • Ensure there is nothing obstructing the microphone, like a hand, leather case, etc.
    • You may be out of the coverage area.
    • Be sure the volume is turned up.

While talking, I noted an echo. What can I do to fix it?
It could be a temporary network problem.

    1. Turn the volume down to 3 or 4.
    2. Speak clearly into the microphone.
    3. Ensure there is nothing obstructing the microphone, like a hand, leather case, etc.
    4. You may be out of the coverage area.
    5. The problem may be that the other wireless caller is using a different service or an analog carrier.

Is it normal for my phone to get hot?
It's not unusual for your phone to heat up during long calls or when the phone is charging. The phone should cool down after use. Back to Top

I can't seem to keep my phone charged. What should I do?
Your battery charger is probably not connected properly.

    • Make sure the battery icon shows that it is fully charged, after charging is complete.
    • Check to see that the phone works with other chargers or adapters that came with the kit.
    • Set your back light to a lower setting, because it shortens battery life.
    • Set ringer volume to a lower setting, because it uses up your battery life.
    • Remove the battery and plug adapter into phone. Phone should power on without the battery.
    • Ensure the adapter stays plugged into the power outlet and display shows charging is complete.

The Cigarette Lighter Adapter appears to be inoperable. What should I do?
IMPORTANT: Do not start the car with the Cigarette Lighter Adapter plugged into the wireless phone.

    1. Ensure that the light is on
    2. You may need to check the fuse.
    3. Inspect the prongs on the phone's clip.
    4. Remove the leather case from your phone.
    5. Clean all the contacts between phone and power supply.
    6. Verify that the Cigarette Lighter Adapter is the right model for your phone.
