Rules
These rules are in place to
keep the events fair and fun for all.
1/ Under
no circumstances will protected species be included in the
events and records. Please check with your local Fisheries If
you are unsure which species this includes. Members attempting
to include a protected species in any events will be banned from
any future competing.
2/ The use of
illegal baits will result in being banned from any future
competing.
3/ All fish
must be caught within the guidelines and rules adopted by ANSA.
This site is not ANSA affiliated but respects their methods.
4/ The use of
setlines are prohibited.
5/ All Fish
must have a photo included with a claim clearly showing the size
and species and Fishing gear used and the Angler.
6/ All
fish must be weighed on Salter
scales or certified scales, e.g.
Tackle stores, butchers, fish shops, fishing clubs.
A receipt for the weigh in is required
for acceptance for Member Records
and can be scanned and emailed to the site email address on main
site page. The Receipt must be dated
and show the anglers name and weigh
persons name, also the species and its weight.
For entries into singles and team events
you may use Salter scales that haven't been certified as long as
you have a decent photo clearly showing fish, gear, and angler.
7/ If the photo
presented for a claim is clear and without doubt a valid photo
then there is no need for a witness.
8/ Nobody may
touch your line during the fight until the fish is landed. Also
they may not touch any part of your tackle.
9/ All claims
must be made within 30 days of the capture.
10/ Any fish
approved by ANSA for a record may be used in the Member records.
If the record is no longer held then proof that the record was
held is required before it will be included. This site will
accept past records with proof but only ANSA records. No
receipts or photo's are required when using a ANSA record as
their methods to prove the records are acceptable.
11/ Anybody
caught cheating or disobeying the above rules will be banned
from the events and forums.
12/ All fish
must be caught in Australian waters. All fish must be caught
with legal methods.
As this site
wont be line testing we will be relying on your honesty!
For people
enjoying this sort of competition I recommend joining ANSA !!!
With ANSA you
can enter conventions and try out for Australian records.
A link to ANSA

The biggest
rule is you must have fun!!!
