SPEED Channel, the worldwide leader in motorsports television coverage, will air 14 ARCA RE/MAX Series races in 2005, each scheduled for live broadcast to a national television audience.

The 14 live events marks the first time in series history that the entire broadcast schedule will air live.

"SPEED Channel and ARCA have a strong relationship dating back to 1997," said Rick Miner, SPEED Channel Sr. VP Programming/Production and Executive Producer. "And in 2005, we take that relationship to the next level, broadcasting the 14 selected ARCA RE/MAX Series LIVE for the first time on SPEED's history. The ARCA RE/MAX Series provides great racing with wonderful storylines, already scoring some of the best motorsports ratings on the network. With every race LIVE in 2005, we believe the fans will support this series like never before. We expect this to be a classic 'win-win' for ARCA and SPEED Channel."

2005 broadcast coverage of the ARCA RE/MAX Series will begin on Saturday afternoon, February 12th at Daytona Int'l Speedway, with live, flag to flag coverage of the 42nd annual Advance Discount Auto Parts 200 season opener.

In addition to Daytona, events scheduled for live coverage in 2005 include both at Nashville Superspeedway on March 26 and August 13, both at Michigan Int'l Speedway on June 17 and August 19, and both at Toledo Speedway on May 22 and September 2. The Milwaukee Mile on June 4, Pocono Raceway on June 11, Kansas Speedway on July 2, Kentucky Speedway on July 8, Gateway Int'l Raceway on July 29, Chicagoland Speedway on September 10 and season finale at Talladega Superspeedway will round out the remaining 14 events.

"The 2005 broadcast schedule will provide fans of the ARCA RE/MAX Series a great opportunity to view the series from a variety of first-class venues," said Mark Gundrum, ARCA VP of Marketing & Communications. "From the short-tracks of Toledo Speedway, to state of the art facilities like Kentucky, Nashville and Chicagoland, right up to the superspeedways of Daytona and Talladega, fans will get a unique look at the diversity in this series. Having all 14 events scheduled for live broadcast is quite a statement, especially in the current television environment."

SPEED Channel will once again serve as the exclusive broadcast partner for the ARCA RE/MAX Series in 2005. Dating back to 1997, SPEED has aired a total of 105 ARCA RE/MAX Series events.
