Hostels and budget accommodation
AD&T; Guesthouse (~25-35USD per night)
Povarskaja str., 20
The only one hostel (or just budget-type accommodation?) in Moscow, which is located near city center, just off New Arbat street. A.D. & T. Guesthouse is good to explore Moscow historical sights by walks.
Red Square and Kremlin are just in the 15-20 minutes walk, and there are several suburbs (such as Ostorgenka), which are still keep the charm of old Moscow. Many-many pubs, cafes and restaurants, some of them are not so expensive (~10 per person for lunch). There are theatres, museums and churches not far too far from this guesthouse.
AD&T; located on the first floor of a historical house. The rooms look out onto a quiet Arbat's yard.
The guesthouse offers clean, comfortable, budget accommodation with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Continental breakfast is included and served in the breakfast room.
The rooms are with shared facilities. There are four bedrooms, which share 3 showers and 2 toilets. You are also welcome to use well-equipped kitchen; TV is in the breakfast room, but could be in your room if necessary. Ironing and washing facilities, phone calls are also available in the guest lounge.
Hostel TRAMP (~25 USD per night)
Selskohozyaistvennaya Street, 17/2, bld. 7
Located near Botanical Garden, 5 minutes walk from Vladykino metro station. This is about 15 minutes from the city center by metro.
Renovated 1 and 2 bedded rooms with private bath, breakfast included. They do visa support (35$ - 45$), airport pick-up (35$)
and from the train station (20$).
This place located in concrete block building; IMHO, it was a student dormitory or fabric hotel in the past. Full set of typical services: TV, e-mail & Internet, fax and telephone for some extra fee, laundry. Free safe deposit for valuables and luggage storage. The minus I think is that it's not a cozy atmosphere inside. Plus 1970 building neighborhood and it's quite far from city center.
Traveller's Guest House (~25 USD per night)
Bolshaya Pereyaslavskaya St. 50, 10th floor
Moscow's first budget accommodation and information centre.. It's located near city center, close to Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky and Kazansky railway stations, near Prospect Mira metro station (circle line) 4 km (three metro stops) from Kremlin. A lot of cafes and restaurants are nearby.
This Guest House occupies the 10th floor of the 12 stored in the typical dormitory building in a residential area. International phone calls, e-mail and Internet access are available to the residents. All travel services for visitors, including Russian visa support, train tickets and transfers from airports or train
stations. Self-catering is available -there are free kitchen facilities.
G&R; Asia Hostel (~25 USD per night)
G&R; Hostel Asia is located on the 13th - 15th floors of 15-storey hotel Asia. This in the South-East of Moscow, near Ryazansky Prospect metro. This is the beginning of peripheral suburb, you will spend ~20 minutes in metro.
G&R; Hostel Asia offers one of the cheapest accommodations in Moscow with a wide choice of discounts, free services and available arrangements. Rooms with 2 and 3 beds, shared toilet & bath or with private bath. They offered driver service for visitors and pick-up from railroad stations for free, "if you stay at least one night at our hostel!".
Sure, visa support & registration, e-mail & Internet and other typical services, as in Tramp Hostel.
