So what is this test about then? Search engine optimisation spelling and regionalisation is what its about. For some reason, you can optimise a page, but Yahoo and MSN will decide where regionally that page belongs on the spelling, or so it would seem. The reason I believe that is because my SEO website uses the English spelling of "search engine optimisation" and not the other language counterparts, utilising the "z" instead of an "s" and so forth.

Google seems to have no repercussion to the affect of spelling on regionalisation, so I don't expect to see anything from Google on this result, except for maybe three websites all ranked in the same global web results index for each term. Now the sites are all hosted in the US, and as such, Google state that your site will be regionalised by its IP and domain regional code if any, and this seems to be accurate to what they state. The others are far from that clear cut. My site is hosted in the US, contains a .com and is regionalised into Yahoo and MSN for my current location within Oz.

Now that seems a little too smart don't you think? The search engines surely don't know me, so they don't know where I live, but they do read the page content and from this they can regionalise your site if it uses a regional term too much in my belief. So this little search engine optimisation test will help define this. This page is about search engine optimisation in England, UK and surrounding areas, and will hopefully only rank within Yahoo.co.uk for the term from the way this page is structured around England and the English spelling.

See what happens I guess with this and our other two search engine optimisation and associated spelling tests.
