Make the Grade! Florida Bright Futures Scholarship ProgramWhat is the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program?

In 1997, the Florida Legislature created the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. This Florida Lottery-Funded scholarship rewards students for their academic achievements during high school by providing funding for them to pursue postsecondary educational and career goals in Florida.

During the 2003-04 award year, over 120,000 Florida students received funding for a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship.

Questions relating to confidential information about student eligibility should be directed to the Bright Futures Hotline toll-free at 1-888-827-2004. To request General Information about Bright Futures, E-mail Us.

2005 high school graduates may apply for a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship with the Florida Financial Aid Application beginning December 1, 2004.  Additional documentation is required for Home Education, GED, and Out-Of-State applicants.
