Pet Rescue & What to do when you Find a Pet:
• Pet Rescue is if one finds a stray animal on the street, first check for Pet tags or Pet identification tags.
• Pet Rescue involves delivering the pet to the respective owner based on the Pet ID Tags Information.
• Pet Rescue involves checking if the address on the Pet ID tag is far off or if one is not comfortable leaving the pet animal at the address shown on the pet ID tag, take the pet to the local pet shelter or to a pet adoption agency.
• If the animal's Pet ID tag doesn't list the pet owners home address or phone number , then look for any other kind of information or take it to the closest pet veterinarian, usually most pet veterinarian have resorts of the pets that they have treated in the past 6 months.
• If there is no obvious identification, the animal may be micro chipped. Bring the animal to a shelter or vet's office to scan for a microchip.
If the stray Pet Doesn't Have Identification:
if the stray pet you picked up does not have any pet id tags or pet identification tags, you have a few options to check for:
• One should take the pet to a local shelter, which is closest to their region.
• Hold on to the animal until the previous guardian or a new guardian can be located. If you decide to provide direct care to a stray companion animal you found, here are some pointers to help you find his owner: Post "found animal" flyers with a photo and description of the animal in the area where the animal was found.
• Take the pet to a pet shelter or a pet veterinarian to identify if the pet has any microchip for identification.
• CAREFULLY SCREEN EVERYBODY who responds to your advertisements; verify the respondent's personal identification (driver's license); make them provide proof of ownership (photographs, vet records) before you relinquish the animal.
Pet Rescue is an awareness by all citizens to care for & diffrentiate between a stray animal & a pet. Pet Rescue dosen't involve identifying each & every animal on the street. Pet Rescue is most often rewarding in terms of saving a life & returing it back to the greiving pet owner.
