Atlantic City Hotels
Atlantic City has been one of the USA's hottest resort spots since the 1850's. Family's flock here in the summer months to enjoy the seaside activities, and the area is home to the first boardwalk ever built. Atlantic City lost much of its popularity in the mid 20th Century when other vacation spots emerged, but it has been enjoying increasing tourism in recent years, due to the new casinos and rebuilding efforts of much of the city.
The best area for Atlantic City hotels is near the boardwalk, where you can join the action only a few steps away from your door. Hotels in Atlantic City are mostly clustered around the beach, and wind up the side streets into town.
The biggest tourism draw currently in the city is the many casinos. These are all themed, just like in Las Vegas, and entertain mainly visitors bussing in from nearby New York, Washington DC and Philadelphia.
