Liverpool Guide
The Albert Dock has been restored to much of its previous grandeur, and remains one of the top sights in the city. It is also the home to some amazing museums, such as the Museum of Liverpool Life, the Tate Gallery Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Also be sure to visit the Walker Gallery, containing works by some of Europe's most famous artists.
The beautiful Liverpool Cathedral is a sight not to be missed, as it has the highest gothic arches ever built, and holds the heaviest bells in the world. If you are looking for a view of the city, this is the perfect place for it: climbing to the top of the churches tower allows you to see as far as Wales.
Liverpool is a haven to clubbers on weekends, when the city's younger crowd comes alive. Pick up a copy of the Liverpool Echo to find out what will be happening when you're there.
