China¡¯s first rated five-star river cruise ships. Just name a few on their guest list ¨C Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Henry Kissinger. The East King started navigation in 1994 and East Queen, his sister ship, in 1995. Both of them are 91.5 meters long and 16.4 meters wide, equipped with Finland made diesel engines, which were considered to be one of best medium engines in the world. The maximum speed in still water is 32 km per hour. While more than sixty-five percent of their luxurious interiors were imported from Europe and America, their navigation systems were supplied by a famous Japanese firm, satellite communications by a Norwegian firm and air-conditioning by Danish "Hi-Pres.".

There are 2 Royal Suites on each ship, furnished in such a luxurious way that they will be able to accommodate all the kinds of VIPs in this world. There are 78 Standard Staterooms on East King and 86 on East Queen, each with a 188-square-feet of comfortable space and a large picture window. All cabins feature satellite TV, central air, direct dial phone, fully stocked mini-bar and private bathroom. The East King can efficiently serve up to 160 passengers while the East Queen up to 176. The East King also provides the finest on-board meeting facilities in its Yangtze Hall. With a capacity of 120 people for dinner or seminar, the professional conference room is equipped with simultaneous interpretation, audio-visual equipment, flip charts, TV set with VCR or whiter boards upon request. Secretarial service such as photocopying, translation, typing, personal computers, fax capabilities are also available aboard.

To make on-board time most enjoyable, these two sister ships offer a wonderful mix of recreation and entertainment facilities. General shipboard amenities include a relaxing whirlpool, a fitness center, health spar with a sauna, steam-bath and invigorating massage, a beauty salon, shops, night club and private KTV rooms, cafes and restaurants. Shipboard dining offers a choice of Asian and Western menus for everyone¡¯s dining pleasure and a variety of sumptuous Chinese and international entrees are being served. In addition to offering exciting shore excursions, on-board activities include movies, Tai Chi classes, cooking classes, Chinese calligraphy lecture, and theme lecture on Chinese culture.

Managed by a western-trained management team, the East King and East Queen are perfectly suited for not only individual or group travelers, but also various theme parties and business conventions. In 2003, they offer exclusive 3 and 4 night itineraries through the spectacular Three Gorges between Yichang and Chongqing.
