Mini guide to Singapore Airport
Singapore Changi Airport, situated 20kms east of Singapore City, handles international connections from all around the globe, acting as a major hub for the whole of South East Asia, and a key stopover for flights from Europe to Australasia.
Singapore Changi Airport has two terminals. Both have a reputation for providing an air of relaxation and comfort. Terminal 2 is renowned for its state of the art construction. The terminals at SIN-Changi serve a large number of major airlines offering both long-haul and short-haul flights. The terminals are connected by skytrain, a free-to-user transit system with a journey time of two minutes.
The two airport terminals are equipped with everything incoming and outgoing passengers may require, including banking facilities, specialist shops and news-stands. The airport also offers several special features including a science and technology area, aquariums and a waterfall in each terminal.
Throughout Changi Airport you will find conveniently-placed ATMs, while currency exchange bureaux are located in the departure/transit lounges of both terminals.
Changi Airport's many restaurants, bars and food courts enjoy the prestigious reputation of serving better value dishes and drinks than any other international airport. They may be found in the basement of Terminals 1 or just outside Terminal 2.
Business centres, open from 07:00-23:00, are situated in the transit hotels on level 3 of each terminal; ((+65) 6542 5538) for Terminal 1 or ((+65) 6542 8122) for Terminal 2. Services provided include; fully-equipped workstations with photocopying, modems and fax machines. Meeting rooms are available and secretarial services if requested. Internet connection is provided in both terminals through Singapore Telecom outlets.
