If you are unsure of anything below, please consult an IT consultant. These are working guidelines and Affordable Services Ltd will not be responsible for any errors with your computer when adding the new account.
You will be sending the email with your current SMTP settings.
To find out these:
Click on Tools, Accounts.
Under the mail tab double click on your default email account.
Click on the servers tab.
Make a note of your SMTP settings – these will be used for your new account.
Cancel out of the window.
Click File – Identities – Add new identity
Add your company name and click OK
Click Yes
Display Name will be how the email is displayed when other people receive email. Add your company name as a suggestion. Click OK
Email address will be your return email. You can use anything at your domain
For example – info@gameboy-world.com
Click OK
Incoming mail POP3 is mail.yourdomain.extension
EG. Mail.Gameboy-world.com
SMTP is your previously noted SMTP address.
Click Next
Your account name is anything@yourdomain.extension.
EG – anything@gameboy-world.com
You password is as supplied
Click Finish
It will ask you if you want to import email to this account. Click the box for NOT importing.
Then click Finish
Your account is now ready to use. To switch back to your other email account – use File – Identities
