If you have already created an account and added a project to it. Then follow the following steps. 1. Login to your account. 2. Click 'Installation & Configuration' 3. Click on 'Install Code'. 4. Using the mouse highlight/select ALL the code. (if your website is using frames click the frames option, and hit the submit button to generate frames code first) 5. Right-click with the mouse and click copy. (if your a mac user, go to edit and click copy) 6. Open up a program called 'notepad' or another simple text editor. Do not use FrontPage or any HTML software for this as these programs could corrupt the code. 7. Using notepad open up your homepage file, it may be called index.html or something similar. (If you don't know how to do this because someone else designed or hosted your website for you then we suggest you get in contact with them to add the statcounter code.) 8. If the code is installed fine, then are you sure you are getting visitors? Did you configure StatCounter counter to block your visits with a cookie, or to block them based on your IP address? Try to get a friend to visit your website, and see if they get recorded. If that doesn't work then you may also have other javascript that comments out our code by accident. Or perhaps some badly formed HTML. If it still doesn't work, then create a very basic test page to see if it works on that page. Or you can also try moving the StatCounter code nearer to the top of the page.
