Imagine looking out over the calm turquoise lagoon, listening to the big white surf breaking on the coral reef
far out there, feeling how nice it feels when your feet sink down in the smoothest white warm sand. When you dream
about this, you might start to be both relaxed and excited. Maybe you already started to dream about the South
Sea and this place when you were a little kid. Each day you carried that dream with you in your heart, waiting
to be released and given to the island and a place that was worthy. Maybe this is the place that the little kid
in your mind has been dreaming of ...
Virgin Cove is located on one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches with the whitest and smoothest sand
you can imagine in the south pacific, away from everything, outside the civilization were you can relax in harmony
with nature. The resort is situated on twentyfive acres with half a mile of our own beach. West of us are more
untouched beaches for miles...no one living is there. In front of us is a fantastic lagoon with a coral reef one
mile out, a perfect place for swimming, snorkelling, diving and windsurfing. Landside the rainforest comes down
all the way to the beach, further back are three miles of forest with eucalyptus trees and flying foxes. To the
east is the very traditional village of Sa'anapu where you can experience more of the Fa'a Samoa culture.
Enjoy a candle light dinner every night accompanied with our live Virgin Cove String band. On saturday night
our staff perform a traditional Fia Fia dance and a Siva Afi (fire knife dance) for you.
Virgin Cove Resort is an "Unplugged" budget Eco- Tourism accommodation with traditional fales (huts)
and european style bungalows located on one of the most beautiful beaches. We use exclusively PV-solar panels for
electricity. We collect rainwater for our cistern and offer composting toilets using modern technique. Kitchen
stoves and fridge runs on LP gas. A limited number of guests will make your stay a very personal experience. Note:
we only allow overnight staying guests which makes your stay more private and enjoyable.
When you travel to Samoa you can fly from California, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Tonga and American
Samoa.
You lie on a mat in a cool Samoan hut, and look out on the white sand under the high palms, and a gentle sea,
and the black line of the reef a mile out, and moonlight over everything...And then among it all are the loveliest
people in the world, moving and dancing like gods and goddesses, very quietly and mysteriously, and utterly content.
It is sheer beauty, so pure that it's difficult to breathe it in.
