SSL encrypts your order information to avoid the decoding of that information by anyone other than UsefulKnives.com. To check the security of your connection, look at the lower right-hand corner of your browser window after accessing the server.  If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active.  You can also double-check by looking at the URL line of your browser.  When accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https". Some versions of browsers and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers.  In this case, you'll be unable to connect to the server so you won't have to worry about mistakenly placing an order through an unsecured connection.  If you can't access the secure server for whatever reason, please place your order by fax at 1-801-439-7600. Our Privacy Policy We are committed to protecting your privacy.  We use the information you provide during checkout to process your order and e-mail your order confirmation.  All of your personal information will be kept private and secure.  UsefulKnives.com does not store any of your personal information on our site.  We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to any outside parties.   No Sales To Minors Due to the nature of what we sell, Useful Knives does not sell to minors. Please have a parent or guardian place an order for you if you are under 18 years of age. Shipping Information We ship to customers within the USA only. To help maintain our low prices, we cannot assume the risk involved with shipping worldwide at this time. Most orders take from 3 to 14 days to be delivered to you. Most orders for in-stock items ship the same day if placed before 11:00AM non-holiday weekdays. Weekend orders usually ship Monday provided it is not a holiday. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will have an $8.00 surcharge added to the order. Starting with browsing our wide selection, to ordering, to securely paying with a credit card, to receiving your order, we strive to exceed your expectations. If we fall short of your expectations at any of these steps, please let us know at: CustomerService@UsefulKnives.com Returns If you receive your order and you are not completely satisfied with it, we have a simple, straightforward return policy. You may return an item within 30 days from the invoice date for an exchange or refund of item purchase price excluding shipping and handling charges, or any other charges. All items must be in new, unused condition and must be returned in the original box with all papers, ready for restocking. A damage fee may be charged if the item is not in new condition. Before returning an item, contact our Return Department at: Returns@UsefulKnives.com Explain your problem and ask for a Return Authorization (RA) code. The RA code must be written on the original packing slip inside the package and on the outside of package. We will refuse any return without an RA code plainly visible. Please include your name, address and telephone number with your return. The cost to return the item will be paid by you, the customer. For your protection we recommend that you ship with tracking information and insurance. If it is shipped via US Postal Service, use delivery confirmation and insure the package. If shipping via UPS use regular ground service. Insurance is not needed unless the shipment contains items greater than $100.00 in value. We cannot accept C.O.D deliveries. Defective products will be accepted for replacement for up to 30 days from invoice date. After 30 days the product must be returned to the manufacturer. Manufacturer contact information can be found on our Resources page. Orders returned after 30 days from invoice date will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. About Our Newsletter Mailing List If you contact us asking a knife-related question sent to only Answers@UsefulKnives.com, we will automatically invite you to join our mailing list. We use a double opt-in program. An e-mail will be sent to you asking you to confirm if you would like to subscribe. You may choose to subscribe or not to respond to the note. If you do not respond to the note, we will not add your name to our list. You may unsubscribe at any time.
