MOAA-The Marina Operators Association of America-is the national trade association of the marina industry.
MOAA represents a diverse membership of over 950 marinas, boatyards, yacht clubs, and public/private moorage basins across the United States. These companies provide slip space for over 240,000 recreation watercraft and employment for over 13,000 marine tradesmen and women. Suppliers of equipment and services to this industry complete MOAA's membership.
MOAA's three primary functions are to:
- Provide members critical legislative and regulatory support.
- Convey to members timely industry information, advice and direction on a continual basis.
- Offer members practical, money saving programs they actually need.
MOAA member companies range from small family owned and operated companies to large corporations, and includes a variety of business types, including for-profit companies, non-profit clubs, private cooperatives, and concessionaires, of which 50% are on federally owned land.
In addition, MOAA members provide tens of thousands of recreational boaters each year the wide variety of goods and services, ranging from fuel and oil sales to boat repairs and food and lodging, that allow recreational boating to continue to grow in popularity with the American sportsman and woman.
MOAA and the International Marina Institute (IMI) have merged to form a new association: Association of Marina Industries (AMI)!
The new association website, www.marinaassociation.org is currently under construction but will be up and running soon!
Contact information is still the same, so please feel free to call or email with any questions!
