OUR GUIDES
In Venice Today operates exclusively with native Venetian professional guides who use all their experience to organize tailor-made visits throughout all Venice, its villas and its lagoon. Doing their best to satisfy all your needs for a memorable stay, however special they may be.

OUR TOURS
Our tours are for small, private parties. We do not group different people together. Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Venice, at the time you choose. The tour will be entirely designed to meet your interests, curiosities, and any requirements for seeing Venice. On request, we can also provide assistance and guide services for educational programs or cultural events.

HOW TO BOOK
Select a tour among those shown on the righthand side of this page. Specify date, number of participants, the hotel in which you'll be staying in Venice, and write to us for reservations. One of our guides will promptly reply and provide all the necessary information and details. Should you need any advice about selecting a tour, feel free to contact us, and we'll be happy to help you ! As soon as you confirm (that should be at least two weeks before the tour), we'll send you your guide's name and cell phone number. Book a tour guide in Venice and confirm your reservation one week before your arrival!

Cost and form of Payment
We charge 65 Euro/hour (1 EUR=1 US $; 0.60 GBP). Up to 15 people. Most of the tours last 3 hours. So calculate 195 euros for a three hours tour of Venice The Lagoon tour lasts 4-5 hours.
Entrance fees to museums, churches and transportation are not included. You'll pay your guide directly in cash or travelers' cheques.

We also conduct tours in the Museums: Doge's Palace, Academy Galleries, Ca' Rezzonico, Ca' D'Oro, Correr Museums, Guggenheim Collection, Ca' Mocenigo...
Would you like to visit the major art exhibitions in town with an expert? Contact us and we'll provide you specialist. Our fee is 120 euros for a two hour visit for a party up to 15 people.

  A gourmet discovery tour in the bustling Rialto area. We'll drink wine and eat "cicheti" (as to say, snacks) at the local wine-bars, or "bàcari". Wandering from place to place we'll stop and read the "nizioleti" (literaly "small sheets" = street signs), that tell much about the story and people of old Venice.

  A leap into the past visiting the city's highlights: St Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Prisons. You can't miss it if you are in Venice for the first time!

  Visit to the Frari Church and to the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, including some of the most important works by these great masters, which are regarded as milestones in Venetian art.

  A tour in the city's commercial quarter, where bankers, brokers and merchants conducted their affairs. Wandering through the lively market, we'll stop in a traditional Venetian bacaro to drink a glass of wine.

  A stroll through the largest sestiere of the city, from the busy Riva degli Schiavoni to the quiet back area, with its elegant palaces and fine churches, including the Venetian pantheon Santi Giovanni e Paolo.
• Wandering around in Cannaregio (2 hours - 120 Euro)
  A walk in a maze of narrow alleys: one of the most fascinating sestieri of the city, still inhabited by true Venetians and including the world's oldest Jewish ghetto and the impressive church of Madonna dell'Orto.
