Adverse Events Associated With the Use of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs and COX-2 Inhibitors   FDA has obtained and is evaluating new and sometimes conflicting scientific data on adverse events associated with the use of several non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and COX-2 inhibitors. New data indicates an increased risk of major fatal and non-fatal heart attacks in clinical trial participants taking these drugs.

Have a telephone and a question about Federal agencies, programs, benefits, or services? The National Contact Center is only a toll-free call away. Each year, our staff handles millions of calls from citizens who are trying to find that elusive answer to their question. Call us weekdays toll-free at 1 (800) FED INFO between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. eastern time (except Federal holidays). We also have recordings of frequently requested information available around the clock. Or just e-mail our partners at FirstGov.gov. We can answer your question or get you to someone who can.
